Soft as the voice of an angel Breathing a lesson unheard Hope with a gentle persuasion Whispers her comforting word Wait till the darkness is over Wait till the tempest is done Hope for the sunshine tomorrow After the darkess is gone Whispering hope Oh, how welcome thy voice Making my heart in it's sorrow rejoice   If in the dusk of the twilight Dim be the region a far Will not the deepening darkness Brighten the glimmering star Then when the night is upon us Why should the heart sink away When the dark midnight is over Watch for the breaking of day   Whispering hope Oh, how welcome thy voice Making my heart in It's sorrow rejoice   천사처럼 부드러운 목소리로 알지 못했던 교훈을 일깨워주고 조용한 목소리에 확신을 담아 희망을주네 그녀가 위로의 말을 속삭여 주네 어둠이 사라질 때까지 기다리세요 폭풍이 멈출 때까지 기다리세요 어두운 밤이 지나고 내일이 오면 햇살이 비출 것이란 희망을 가져 보세요 희망을 속삭여 주는 그대의 음성이 나에게 얼마나 큰기쁨을 주는지 슬픔으로 가득했던 내 마음을 새로운 기쁨으로 넘치게 해주네 땅거미가 지는 저녁이 오고 밤이 세상을 저멀리 사라지게 하여도 더이상 어둠이 깊어지지 않는 것은 반짝이는 별들이 빛나기 때문이죠. 그러니 우리에게 밤이 왔다고 해서 낙심할 이유가 어디 있겠어요 어두운 밤이 가고 나면 새 날이 밝아오리란 걸 기다려 봐요 희망을 속삭여 주는 그대의 음성이 나에게 얼마나 큰기쁨을 주는지 슬픔으로 가득했던 내 마음을 새로운 기쁨으로 넘치게 해주네
